Leaving a long stay hospital?

Lead a gloriously ordinary life

Are you or a loved one in an Assessment and Treatment Unit (ATU) or other long-stay hospital? You may already know how hard it can be to get out.

At Dimensions, we believe in you and will support you every step of the way.

Many individuals we have helped to leave long-stay hospitals and ATUs, including Arnold, AaronSusan, and Indy, have experienced multiple failed placements in their local community. These setbacks are often because the system has failed them. So we’ll work carefully to get things right.

We never give up.

At Dimensions, we will help you leave hospital and live an ordinary life in your local area.

We’ll work closely with your family – because nobody knows you better.

We’ll also work closely with the hospital you’re in. That means we’ll get to know you well before you leave, so that we can set up the right support with the right housing for you. It will help you have confidence in us, too.

And we’ll work closely with the organisations that pay for your support, to get it right from the start. We’ll ask them to plan for the long term. That sometimes means higher costs and more support to start with, but as you get on with living your life the amount of support you’ll need often drops away.

Learn more about how we deliver right-sized support to help you thrive beyond hospitals or Assessment and Treatment Units.

We look forward to helping you make the journey from hospital to a fun, safe, ordinary life filled with new opportunities.
