Members of the Dimensions and Discovery Council have shared their views on the Government’s proposed Fair Pay Agreement for social care.
The council is made up of people supported by Dimensions and Discovery. It brings together lived experience to speak up on the issues that affect people’s lives.
In this Easy Read response, council members explain why fair pay and conditions for support workers matter to them.
They highlight how good support helps people live independently, build relationships, and feel safe and understood. They also share concerns about staff leaving for better paid jobs, and the impact this can have on people’s lives.
The response also calls for people who receive support to be involved in decisions about social care and to have a voice in shaping the Fair Pay Agreement.
