If you need a little more persuasion, please watch Nigel’s video. Then we’d like to tell you about:

Changing someone’s life

Colleagues tell us that it’s the chance to make a positive difference in people’s lives that really counts.

We believe that’s why Dimensions colleagues are 29% less likely to leave, compared to staff in other social care organisations.*

We’re a Great Place to Work

We’ve been independently accredited as a Great Place to Work by the Great Places Institute for the past 7 years.

We’ve also gained specialist accreditations as a Great Place to Work for Women, for Development and for Charities.

Pay and benefits

Almost all our support workers are paid at or above Real Living Wage. You can draw part of your pay early to help manage bills. And with benefits including shopping discounts, Blue Light card, Cycle to Work and a host more – the value really adds up.

Investors in Diversity

We are proud to have achieved Investors in Diversity awards, received Action on Hearing Loss and Louder than Words accreditation, and been recognised as Disability Confident Leaders.

Career Development

All permanent staff have regular opportunities to gain a place on our multiple award-winning career development programme, Aspire. Aspire has won a national business culture award and our coaches have also won a prestigious CIPD award for their work on Aspire.

Aspire participants explore new ways and opportunities to progress with help from a professional career coach.

Personal Development

We aim for as many colleagues as possible to hold ‘qualifications above the minimum’ for their role.

This means you’ll receive the training you need to progress.

With experience, you could take on more responsibility. And with the right attitude and motivation, you can choose your next step!

Dimensions values me, as me

Colleagues tell us they feel valued not despite their diversity, but because of it.

We adopt positive action principles in senior positions, ensuring anyone who is from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background who meets the essential criteria will be invited to interview.

In addition for all roles, in line with the Disability Confident Leader accreditation, anyone who shared they have a disability, and meets the essential criteria will be invited to interview.

Living our values

Dimensions is a values-led organisation, which means we expect everybody to demonstrate our five core values:

Ambition – We seek to help people reach their potential.
Courage – We are guided by the courage of our convictions to make a difference.
Integrity – We ensure that what we do is grounded in what we believe.
Partnership – We work with others to achieve more for people.
Respect – We recognise that every person’s unique contribution is valuable.

Flexible working

Flexible hours make support work a great choice.
Alex worked part-time as a support worker while at university. He now considers the man he supported a close friend.

“Support work is one of the most rewarding careers out there…I watched the person I supported grow into a confident, funny and playful man…the transformation I saw in a matter of a few years reduced his father to tears.”

Making a difference

Mark moved from a management position to support work, and values the difference he makes over anything else.

“This time last year, I was an area manager for a cleaning company: good salary, nice company car, iPad, phone. This time last year, I felt very little of what I did made a difference. I’m now a support worker for Dimensions and I feel everything I do, CAN make a difference.”
