We’ll match you to the right support workers. And because we’re recognised as being a ‘Great Place to Work,’ our colleagues stay in their roles for longer.
17% of our colleagues left their jobs compared to 28% sector-wide in 2024. That is really important. We know that consistent long term support tends to be better support.
Your One Page Profile
It is important that the people in your home are people you want to be there.
That’s why we always try to involve you and your family in choosing your support team.
It all starts with getting your One Page Profile right. This helps us understand what is important to you and how to support you well.
Recruiting the right team together
You and your family might help write a job description that describes the sort of person you want on your team – matching their personality, skills and interests to yours.
You might help us shortlist, interview and give feedback at the end of the probation period.
Even if you choose not to do these things, we will always try to match your support team to your personality, skills and interests.
Pay and benefits
We try really hard to be a good employer – to be an organisation that people want to join and where people want to stay.
Some of that is about pay and benefits. Wherever we can we pay colleagues at the Real Living Wage or better, and we have a substantial colleague benefits package.
We’re also one of very few social care organisations to have a collective bargaining agreement with a full time UNISON convenor; yes, that can sometimes be hard but it helps us be a better employer.
A Great Place to Work
Most colleagues tell us they work for Dimensions because of how we live our values.
That’s why we’re so proud that Dimensions has been independently recognised, for the past seven years, as being a Great Place to Work.
The award is based on a survey of colleague opinions, and so it also gives us things to get better at each year.
All this means more colleagues stay with Dimensions, for longer.
And means you’ll have fewer strangers in your home.
