Regulation, Reports and Policies

For those needing formal information including CQC ratings

We consider Dimensions to be an exemplar in its approach to hearing and considering the voice of people supported and their families… this is driven by a strong culture and varying mechanisms both outside and within the formal governance structure…

Independent governance review conducted by DTP, 2025

People and Planet

Our first People and Planet report is based on Environmental, Social and Governance principles.

It includes our plan to respond to priorities set out in our Even Better Lives for Even More People Strategy 2025-27.

Listening and Learning

We gather your feedback in many ways continually and informally through meetings, staff appraisals and visits. Through person-centred reviews, in family and friends forums and at Everybody Counts groups. Via the Dimensions Council and in annual surveys of family & friends, tenants and colleagues.

Themes and issues are fed back to the executive team and Board, forming our ‘Working Together for Change’ programme. We plan to produce a Listening and Learning report for 2025 and publish it here.

Equality reporting

Gender pay gap

In 2024 there was a small median pay gap of 1.7% (0% in 2023.) This is because there were slightly more men in the lower middle and upper middle pay quartiles this year compared to last year, and slightly fewer women in the lower quartile compared to last year.

Ethnicity pay gap

This is the third year that we are voluntarily publishing our Ethnicity Pay Gap report. In 2024 the median hourly rate for white colleagues was 1.9% higher than for BAME colleagues (up from 0% in 2023.) As more colleagues share their ethnicity, we are seeing more accurate results coming through.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Colleagues told us: “I feel fairly treated in relation to my:

– sexual orientation 95%
– religion, belief or non-belief 93%
– gender 92%
– race or ethnic origin 91%
– disability 91%

Regulators

We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission in England, the Care Inspectorate in Wales and the Regulator of Social Housing, and comply with the standards they expect.

You can find our CQC ratings here.

We are accredited by the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme, which means our health and safety standards have been externally assessed.

Our liability insurance is with Zurich Municipal and our Policy Number is XAO-272040-0623; our MOJ Portal ID is C00108.

Standards

We have our own quality standards too. These are monitored by our quality and compliance team, working alongside operational colleagues.

We employ experts by experience who are autistic or have learning disabilities, as quality consultants. They carry out nationwide quality audits.

We were one of the first social care organisations to appoint an independent safeguarding chair, to ensure the highest level of scrutiny of our standards.

We act in accordance with a comprehensive set of policies, some of which you can find above.
