I’m proud to lead an organisation where Equality, Diversity and Inclusiveness is at the heart of how we work. A diverse organisation makes for a better life for people we support and colleagues alike. I am wholly committed to celebrating the progress we have made, and continuing to strive for more.
Rachael Dodgson, Chief Executive
Zero tolerance
We uphold a clear zero-tolerance policy against discrimination and commit to not being bystanders.
We have an active network of Diversity Champions who support our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion work, who review policies for equality impact, and who help shape our strategic priorities.
A Disability Confident Leader
We use positive action in our recruitment practices to recruit and retain colleagues with a disability.
We have a reasonable adjustment process to ensure colleagues receive the support they need to be able to be their best selves, with a dedicated budget for reasonable adjustments.
Equality and Diversity
Colleagues feel that they are valued not despite their diversity, but because of it.
We report in detail on how we’re working towards equality, diversity and inclusion, and on our gender and ethnicity pay gaps.
Reverse Mentoring
Senior managers participate in our reverse mentoring programme.
This aims to raise awareness of the life and work experiences of colleagues from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, helping avoid and address unintentional bias.
Positive action
For senior positions, everyone from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background who meets the essential criteria will be invited to interview.
For all roles, in line with the Disability Confident Leader accreditation, anyone who shared they have a disability, and meets the essential criteria, will be invited to interview.
