Victoria Richardson scoops Great West Midlands Care Award

Victoria Richardson, Dimensions Performance Coach, has won The Home Care Registered Manager Award in the Great West Midlands Care Awards.

500 of some of the best in social care attended a glittering awards ceremony at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham for the finals, where the category winners were announced for this year’s Great West Midlands Care Awards.

Vikki with her Award

The Great West Midlands Care Awards are part of the Great British Care Awards, a series of 9 regional awards celebrating excellence across the care sector, paying tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Vikki stepped in to cover services in Wolverhampton for a significant period of time as the team worked hard to appoint a new Manager.

Her nomination was submitted by support worker, Maxine, who felt she had made a real difference to the service and to the lives of the people we support.

Maxine said, “Vikki is an amazing lady, who inspires people to be the best they can be”.

During a time when the team needed her most, Vikki showed real passion for her work, supporting one individual into voluntary work and after finding out another had been waiting for a vehicle for quite some time, supporting them to get a car.

Vikki’s nomination recognised her hard work and Maxine expressed how grateful she was for the support that Vikki had given the team. Likened to Nanny McPhee, a magical woman with special powers, Vikki has adopted the nickname ‘Vikki McPhee’ from her team, referencing the quote ‘When you need me, but do not want me, then I must stay’.

Helen Orford, Regional Manager for the West said:

“We are very proud of Vikki’s many achievements and delighted that she has been recognised in this way.”
