People we support and staff put on their flower garlands and grass skirts for a fun-filled Hawaiian party held by our team in the West Midlands recently.
Over 100 people we support came to enjoy the party from regions including Derby, Stoke, Worcester, Telford and Coventry.
The day was carefully planned out by Locality Managers and volunteers and included a cocktail bar, tug of war, talent show and a “Best fancy dress” competition.
The team in the West have been hosting events like this for the past three and a half years after feedback from our Everybody Counts meetings.
These meetings are held quarterly and allow the people we support a chance to feedback to staff on what’s working and what’s not working with their service provision.
Ideas like the Hawaiian party and others have developed from these meetings, and as a result the region is currently planning their fourth Christmas Ball!
Events like these are always thoroughly enjoyed by the people we support and are an important part of the personalised support service we provide.
