We are pleased to announce that support worker Andy Guy has become the first achiever of our new Adult Care Worker Level 2 apprenticeship standard through Lifetime Training.

We have worked with Lifetime Training since 2012 but, since government reform in May 2017, the way apprenticeships are delivered and completed has changed. Lifetime Training are one of our preferred partners delivering these apprenticeships.

Andrew says,

Andrew has worked through his apprenticeship and has completed it with a merit. He explains, “I really enjoyed working through the coursework and felt supported by both my manager and my trainer, Sally, to complete it. If I had any questions I knew who to go to and they were answered very quickly. There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like about the apprenticeship!”

Assistant Locality Manager Sonya Foster added,

“The qualification is important because it helps to outline what is needed in the job role. The level 3 is a good opportunity to progress for people who are ready for development but you have to make sure that it is the right step for them.”
