One more time for charity

Oops he did it again! Person we support Aaron Edmondson organised and hosted a charity fun day at The Reach, in Warrington.

Those attending the event managed to raise £150 for Alzheimer’s UK.

Entertainment on the day included a ‘guess the name of the teddy bear’ competition, ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’, a raffle, fancy dress and karaoke. Aaron himself was the star of the show, performing popular songs from Britney Spears, Meatloaf and Mrs Brown’s Boys.

The young man had been organising the project for weeks and involved the whole community. Some of the prizes scooped include a meal voucher for the Dining Rooms in Latchford and a signed rugby shirt.

As well as this, food for the event was provided by an on-site barbeque. The meat was provided by Warrington Market meat stall and cooked by our own Sergei Vasiljevs, Manager at The Reach.

Aaron was delighted with the success of the event. He said: “I believe everyone that attended enjoyed themselves and all money raised on the day will be donated to Alzheimer’s UK.

“I would like to thank Sergei for doing the barbeque and all the help he gave me on the day. Also I would like to thank all the staff at The Reach for all their help – without it this wouldn’t have been possible and also Clare Blake for her attendance – it was nice of her to give up her Saturday!

“Thanks again everyone.”
