  • Dimensions services in Kent graded “Outstanding” by CQC

We are delighted to announce that our domiciliary care office in Sandwich, Kent, has been officially graded as “Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This is a first for Dimensions – CQC only rarely awards this top rating.

Two CQC inspectors visited on 7th and 8th November, after giving 48 hours’ notice. They interviewed a number of staff members, including two locality managers, spoke to relatives and visited four people we support in their homes.

They also spoke to two health care professionals who gave positive feedback about the services we provide.

The inspectors’ report makes for great reading. Among other things, it notes that the management team and staff are “passionate and committed to supporting people with person centred care to have meaningful lives, and reach their full potential”.

It observes that staff are “very understanding and consistently patient, kind and compassionate” while the culture of the services is described as “extremely positive”.

Relatives told the inspectors that “it was standard practice that staff provided excellent support”. You can read the full report here.

In recognition of this great achievement, those who work in the services will be given an extra day’s holiday. Many congratulations to all those involved!
