Success for Dimensions colleagues at Care and Support West Awards

We are pleased to announce that of our four finalists in Saturday’s Care and Support West Awards, we have two winners!

Donna McGauley has added to her collection of glassware, scooping the Supporting Living Manager of the Year award and Obed Adomako has won the Apprentice and Work Experience Person of the Year award for his work on placement at Fountain House, Bath.

We are very pleased to be linked to Bath College Care Academy and the valuable work they do in making social care a choice for young people looking to further their careers in Health and Social Care.

The awards summed up the two individuals as follows;

Donna; Embodying Dame Denise Platt’s words that ‘social care, when delivered well, has the power to transform people’s lives’, Donna’s values shine through and are emulated by her staff. Even essential professionals notice the difference that Donna makes with the best interests of the people she supports at heart.

Obed; Embraced the work from day one and impressed colleagues with his person-centred work and conscientiousness. He also shows this level of commitment in his college work and embraces extra-curricular activities to further his learning.

We were also pleased that Dan Meadows was a selected finalist in the Disability Care Category and Keynsham Supported Living finalists in the Supported Living Home Category.
