Be a volunteer buddy
This is your opportunity to do what you enjoy, and change someone’s life at the same time.
We’re looking for volunteer buddies across the country to help people with learning disabilities and autism get out, about and involved in activities you both enjoy.
What do you enjoy doing?
Someone we support will share an interest in what you love. Current and past activities have included…
- Going to the pub
- Arts and crafts
- Understanding politics
…but just because your hobby isn’t on our list, doesn’t mean it can’t be. Tell us how you can help and we’ll see what we can do.
Complete our form at the bottom of the page or call 0300 303 9162 to get in touch.
What our buddies do
Our buddies help provide extra resources for our dedicated staff. With their help the people we support can do more of the things they enjoy, and meet new people at the same time.
With support and guidance from our volunteering team and staff, our buddies work with the people we support to help them access more activities.
Our buddies do more than take people places – they help build their confidence, give them something to look forward to and help the people we support to achieve even more.
The application process
Apply online or complete our form to register your interest in being a volunteer.
We will work with you to find days and times that suit you.
Our volunteering team will help you every step of the way, and our local support staff will make sure you’re happy and comfortable in your new role.
