Each member of our executive team brings extensive experience and expertise in their specialism. Together, they keep the people we support at the heart of all our decisions, developing our high standards of support and ensuring our staff are motivated to be the best they can be.
Steve Scown, Chief Executive (@SScown)
Steve trained as a learning disability nurse at the high security Rampton Hospital and worked in a number of NHS management positions before joining the voluntary sector in 1993.
Before being appointed as CEO in 2011 Steve led Dimensions’ organisational development work in championing the personalisation agenda. A speaker at UK and international conferences, he co-authored the award winning books, ‘Making it Personal‘ and, more recently, ‘Making it Personal for Everyone.’
He has an MSc in Public Service Administration and a keen interest in understanding how organisations undertake change and how they contribute beyond their organisational boundaries. He is chair of the Voluntary Organisations for the Disabled Group (VODG).
Bob Tindall, Managing Director
Bob has over 40 years experience in the management of services for people with learning disabilities and people with autism. Most of this is at a senior level, and encompasses both local government and the third sector. He is a member of the Learning Disability England Interim Board.
Jackie Fletcher, Group Director of Quality, Public Affairs and Policy (@jac1964)
Jackie is our lead practitioner on person-centred thinking and approaches and issues related to the regulation of services for vulnerable people.
Chris Woodhead, Group Director of Housing and Business Development (@woodhead_c)
Chris has 20 years’ experience in the housing and social care sectors leading a diverse range of services including housing options, supported living, development and social and economic regeneration.
Passionate about great customer service and value for money, Chris is committed to delivering exemplar homes in which to deliver exemplar support.
Luke Joy-Smith, Managing Director of Discovery (@Ljs1611)
Luke has worked within the Learning Disabilities sector for over 20 years, both within the NHS and the voluntary sector.
He is passionate about developing new ways of ensuring people with learning disabilities are given greater choice and control over their lives in order to be active, engaged and valued citizens within their communities.
Prior to this role he was Regional Managing Director for the West region.
Mark Horlock, Director of Finance
Mark’s expertise lies in financial and non-financial management and includes business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and business administration.
Stella Cheetham, Group Director of People and Organisational Development (@StellaCheetham)
Stella brings extensive HR experience from the private, public and voluntary sectors to her role at Dimensions.
Stella recognises that recruiting, training and engaging people with the right skills and values is essential to ensure that the people we support and their families receive the best possible support and service.
Stella and her team are committed to achieving Dimensions 2020 vision of becoming the exemplar organisation delivering outcomes-focussed care and support.
Steph Thompson, Managing Director of Waymarks
Steph has 30 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, covering senior positions in the NHS, voluntary and independent sectors.
She brings experience and knowledge of collaboration and integration, securing funding for research and developing community based services to her role in the Dimensions executive team.
Steph is focused on supporting people to live the lives they hope to lead.
