Shared housing

LarryWe support people with a learning difficulty living in shared housing. This is also known as 'Group Living'.

Our service is always individually tailored to meet the needs of the person that we are supporting.

The amount of support we offer varies - some people have 24 hour support, others may need only a few hours per day. The people we support will have their own tenancy, either with a housing association or a private landlord. There are usually 2 or 3 people sharing this type of service.

We support people in all areas of their lives, but we focus on encouraging independence and ensuring that the person we support is given the confidence to take control of their own support.

Each service has a dedicated staff team, and there will usually be identified times for one-to-one support. Each person will have at least one key worker, who will ensure that they are supported to meet all of their everyday needs. All support staff will follow a support plan that is written especially for them.
