Stars in the sky: Launch of the Yorkshire friendship agency

On Tuesday 4th September Stars in Sky Yorkshire joined up with the Beautiful Octopus Club to celebrate the launch of their new friendship agency for people with learning disabilities in Leeds, Wakefield and surrounding areas. The party was held at Leeds University and saw over 300 people dressed in 'Wild West' gear dancing the night away. Calendar's Duncan Wood officially launched the new friendship agency, which aims to extend social networks and support people with learning disabilities to widen their circle of friends through involvement in an assortment of social events. Karen England who has been managing this project (a joint venture by Dimensions and the Home Farm Trust) said,

"This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of helping change people's lives and supporting them in sustaining friendships and relationships".
