Welcome to the East Midlands region of Dimensions

We support over 70 people with learning difficulties throughout the East Midlands. Our purpose is to help the people we support to live the life they want, and we believe that people with learning difficulties should be respected, have the same opportunities in life as everyone else, and make their own choices and decisions.

Type of services we offer

We currently provide supported living services to around 30 people with a learning difficulty across our region. We tailor our supported living services to meet the needs of the people we are supporting, therefore they can range from 2 to 60 hours per week.

We also have group living services in Derby, Coventry, Leamington Spa and in Leicester, and services where we support young people with a learning difficulty through transition.

Our aims

As a region, we are always looking at ways to improve the service we offer to the people we support. The following are some of our key aims which we're working on to help the people we support to live the life they want:

• to assist the people we support with developing their own 'person centred' plan, which focuses on their needs and aspirations
• to enable the people we support to have information on employment and employment opportunities
• to enable the people we support to have the opportunity to develop relationships with people in the community (read about the Derby disco)
• to recruit and retain good staff who share our values
• to work in partnership with friends and family to develop the most effective support package for all the people we support

…we will involve you in developing your relative's support package and person centred plan.
…we'll keep you informed about what we're doing and you will be invited to join our Family Support Group, a self-support group for families and friends of the people we support.
