Jay Lewis"I have worked with people with learning disabilities for almost all of my career. Starting as a Support Worker, then Deputy Home Manager and Home Manager. I have managed a Community based day service and employment services for people with learning disabilities.

"When I came for my interview with Dimensions I was very impressed to see how both people we support and staff were involved in the process, and the enthusiasm and honesty I was presented with. Dimensions felt very different to other employers I was being interviewed by. I left the day being sure of the values of the organisation and wanting to be part of the action!

"In my role there is no typical day - recently I have been working with staff on team days, where the aim was to celebrate the things that are good about our services and identify the things that they want to work towards changing or improving. I was delighted to be able to be part of these days which I hope were enjoyable and will prove valuable to moving Dimensions' services forward. The thing about my job is helping to empower colleagues to creatively overcome the challenges we encounter; and then see the difference that this makes to peoples lives."
