Welcome to the Norfolk region of Dimensions.

We support over 60 people with learning difficulties across the whole of Norfolk. Our purpose is to help the people we support to live the life they want, and we believe that people with learning difficulties should be respected, have the same opportunities in life as everyone else, and make their own choices and decisions.

What we do

We provide a wide variety of support services in our region. These include:

  • supported living services, providing individualised support packages for people living in their own homes
  • group living services, for people living in shared housing
  • day services
  • floating support services
  • transition services, for young people with a learning difficulty aged 16 – 25 years

How we work

We endeavour to work in a person centred way, putting the people we support at the centre of everything we do. We do this by:

  • involving the people we support in what we do. We hold regular forums with the people we support to find out what we're doing well, and how we can improve.
  • having a communication co-ordinator in every region. This ensures that the people we support with limited verbal communication are able to communicate effectively.
  • looking at how we can the people we support into employment.
  • supporting people to live more independently.
  • focusing on healthy lifestyles.

We are a small and friendly region and have good relationships with the people we support, professionals and families. We try to involve the families of the people we support as much they would like to be.

If you are a relative of a person we support…
…you can be involved as much or as little as you want to be.
…we can involve you in developing your relative's support package and person centred plan.
…we'll keep you informed about what we're doing.
