Adding sparkle to Children in Need (20th November)

Staff from Dimensions Community Enterprise, Sparkling Clean, the Wakefield cleaning business that supports adults with learning difficulties, will be taking steps to raise money for Children in Need.

The team will be carrying out a sponsored walk in fancy dress at Pugney's Country Park on Friday (20th November) to raise cash for Children in Need in a bid to change the lives of disadvantaged children across the UK. The group of up to 20 hope to raise at least £300 for the national cause.

Gemma Weatherill, Project Co-ordinator said: "We all work hard and thought that it would be an ideal opportunity to have some fun whilst supporting a really good cause. We are all looking forward to the walk and come rain or shine we will be raising some cash for Pudsey."

Sparkling Clean supports adults with learning difficulties as they provide a cleaning service within local homes, commercial businesses and community venues. Its goal is to improve the quality of life of adults with learning difficulties through paid employment, providing real work experience and a regular income alongside a strong support infrastructure and training – all of the ingredients to help develop an independent life.
