*Support Worker - Gemma

About two and a half years ago, I decided I wanted a new challenge. I heard through a friend that Dimensions was a good company to work for.

I love working with the people I support at the bungalow as I love spending time with the people that live there. I also like the fact that there is no such thing as a typical day…everyday is different.

As well as my support worker shifts, I also work part time as the Project Co-ordinator of Sparkling Clean, which is a one of our social enterprises - a cleaning company that employs adults with learning difficulties.

I find the people we support the most interesting part of my job. I recently did an 'Intensive Interaction' course and I have found it very interesting to put into practice with the people I support. I also love Sparkling Clean - it is the best feeling in the world giving a person with learning difficulties the opportunity to work. They get to meet loads of new people and are also made to feel part of a team.
