How we're run
It's all about… how everybody counts
We wouldn't exist without the people we support. So it's only right that we listen to them - to find out what we're doing well, what we're doing not so well, and what else we could be doing to help them live the life they want.
We've established an accountability strategy called 'Everybody Counts' which focuses on three main areas – making sure the people we support know what we're doing; involving them in the running of the organisation – e.g. by recruiting their own staff - and to make sure that they are formally represented at things like board meetings.
We're now more accountable to the people we support than ever before, and their visibility throughout the organisation is a constant reminder of our purpose – to help them to live the life they want.
We are also managed by a voluntary Board of Management, which includes relatives and two people with a learning difficulty.
