Bracknell and Wokingham

We support over 50 people with learning disabilities and autism in the region. Our aim is to help the people we support to live the lives they want. We believe that people with learning disabilities and autism should be respected, have the same opportunities in life as everyone else and make their own choices and decisions.

What we do
We provide a variety of support services in our region. These include:

  • Registered care homes;
  • Group living services for people living in shared housing;
  • Floating support;
  • Outreach support;
  • Services for young people going through transition.

How we work
We are committed to working in partnership with the people we support, their families, carers and other stakeholders to achieve true 'person centred' support. What we mean by this is that we put the person at the centre of all that we do. We will engage their circle of support and together we will seek creative and safe ways to meet wishes and aspirations. We are determined to put control back into the hands of people with learning disabilities and autism.

Our initiatives
There's lots happening in our region, including:

  • a regular 'Regional Advisory Forum', where the people we support, relatives, advocates and staff meet to discuss what we're doing well and where we can improve.
  • being actively involved with local Learning Disability Partnership Boards.
  • the Friday Night Project tea house / cafe in Bracknell town centre, managed by people with learning difficulties and staff.
  • various social events, including a young person's social club.
